Students are responsible for developing 4 hours of curriculum for a prevention or promotion program related to the research review paper. This is an opportunity to creatively express and further develop the findings in the “Research Review” assignment. The curriculum should include the following: 1. Rationale – State clearly the rationale for either primary prevention or promotion in this area with this population. Identify the key risk factors/vulnerability, as well as programs that have been done previously. How would you conduct an actual needs assessment to justify your approach with this population? The rationale should include general professional perspectives on why this issue is important to address. (2-3 pages) 2. Introduction (1-2 pages) – Please note the qualifications of the therapist to use your curriculum, intended audience/participants, a typical format, and supplies needed (in general and specifically for each session). 3. Curriculum – Each of the 4 hours should be accounted for (the curriculum should be broken down so that each activity is tied to minutes/hours that add up to 4 hours). A detailed account of the information provided for the 4 hours as well as work sheets and/or activity instructions should be provided within this section. There is no set page length.
