There are four parts to the final. I. Here is the scenario: Zehao earns $100 weekly from his job at a fast-food restaurant and $10 a week doing little jobs for a neighbor. He does not have a car but gives about $25 a month to a friend who gives him rides. To use his cell phone, he spends $75 a month in prepaid calling cards. On average, he spends $30 a week on food and drinks, $125 a month on entertainment, and$50 a month on clothing. He gives an average of $10 a week to friends who don’t have jobs yet. Choose as a goal something that Zehao wants to buy or spend money on in six months. Then chart his budget for those six months to show how he saves the money for his goal. Will he have to make trade-offs? What will have to change to enable him to reach his goal, if anything? II. What is the difference between helpful and harmful debt? List four types of debt (Two kinds of “good” debt, two kinds of “bad” debt). List at least two examples of each type of debt. III. Research and describe the hiring process used by two local employers who hire teens. Create ten interview questions an employer might ask you in an interview, and then answer them. (Instead of conducting and critiquing the mock interview, simply answer the questions as you would if you were the person being interviewed.) IV. Research the costs of attending ELAC and CSULA for one year. Consider tuition, housing (if any), transportation, cost of books and materials, cost of meals eaten away from home. You can write several paragraphs presenting the information, or you can present it in chart form.
