After the conclusion of the analysis and introduction to your analysis

So we know the problem statement, now what are the objectives? For example, we need to raise $75,000 or find a sustainable source of funding for one of HNA’s programs or build relationships with a new market
Could only be one objective or could be a few – but need to clearly state what they need from this fundraising plan
You need to articulate the overall strategy or approach for developing these options by identifying areas of opportunity or weakness (such as opportunities to develop stronger relationships with corporate partners) eg. “one of the overall strategies is for HNA to enter into new markets to find some sustainable funding”
So overall strategy is the overall approach to achieving those objectives

 

The Options

Develop three distinct detailed options to help meet the objectives
One MUST be related to a FUNDRAISING EVENT (e.g. Develop “Walk 4 Hope” in a new way, mobilise current strategies to make them more of a success, or come up with a new fundraising event.
You can do both. But one needs to be an event.
In these options, you will provide a detailed overview and analysis of potential options for strengthening the strategic revenue mix and meeting the fundraising objectives
SIMPLY – YOU ARE:
Identifying the market vehicle and strategy
then you are analysing the strengths and weaknesses of this particular option
you are linking the option back to the resources of the organisation and thinking about how it capitalises on the strengths or mitigates the weaknesses of the resources you’ve identified
Supports all of this with research! Research and ideas of:
The particular donor market
The particular option
The particular way the fundraising can be carried out

 

These options are quite detailed are like little portraits of where HNA could go
You could produce options that build on each other like: Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. They could be one for each market … Or identify three areas and
Either way you go … There needs to be a strong link back to the fundraising audit and supported by research

Visualise as much of the information as you can. Bullet points, figures, diagrams, etc. Use interesting ways to present the information and options. Large tables or figures can go into the appendix (to stay under word count)
Integrate research into what you are saying and apply it to HNA as specifically as you can (the key readings talk quite broadly but its your job to really think about how it applies to your organisation specifically).
