Increasing costs of college tuition

Times New Roman. 12 pt font. Double Spaced. APA format. I was only able to specify a specific number of sources required but my professor is allowing us to put anywhere from 7-10 sources (7 is fine if that helps with the easy of the essay).

I will attach a 2 copies of Literature Review examples from 2 students for reference. Our class reviewed and graded the essays and overall they were good just so you know.

I will attach a copy of 5 sources that I did come across. You don’t have to include these specifically but I thought these might help. (I don’t think my APA citations were 100% correct in that document)

You don’t have to worry about doing the title page.

Abstract page has to be included.

Thesis statement in first paragraph of essay.

Proper citation for in text citations.

We also have to include 3 graphics graphics from the included sources that are properly labeled.

I will also attach some information of the grading rubric my professor is using to grade our assignment just in case.

The essay overall should be able to address 4 research questions based on those sources (which I will provide right below).
1) How prevalent is student debt amongst low and middle-income families?
2) Why have college tuition costs increased overtime?
3) My professor recommended a question like: How are budgets managed? Or How are tuition costs determined?
4) Does student debt have a stronger correlation with people of certain races or nationalities?

I did also mention 2 different deadlines. The 7th is the final draft due date, but the 1st is the rough draft due date. The rough draft will count for 25 points for my class, the final draft will count for 200 points. Is there any way I can send you the feedback from my professor from the rough draft and send it to you so you can better refine my final essay? I’d be more than happy to help that way if it means getting a better essay. My professor can be sort of strict when it comes to these major assignments.

I don’t know if this synopsis may help with the abstract but I wrote this myself.
What I currently know about my topic is that over the last decade, wide cuts in government funding for college education have led to substantial academic problems and forced more of the costs of college onto students. As a result, tuition costs over the course of history has shown about a 3 percent increase per year on average. My current knowledge of this topic comes from A YouTube video uploaded by CBS This Morning titled; The Price You Pay: The spiraling cost of college. The other source I’ve investigated is A news journal published by author, Jessica Dickler, with CNBC News titled, Why college tuition keeps rising. I believe in this topic because I believe that there are many unknown factors that require investigation and because it’s topic that concerns the well-being of our society. Some experts only extend their topic as far as state funding cuts. Other news sources like in the Youtube video however are willing to investigate how specifically budget is spent throughout different universities. On subtopic that catches my attention is also the potential mismanagement in the education budget for different campuses and see how prevalent this case truly is. Since this topic is heavily supported by facts and statistics, the topic of student debt amounts among middle and low-income families since that topic can be easily researched.

Thank you very much for the help! I’m looking forward to seeing how this essay turns out. I’m pretty sure I will be able to respond to you on here but if you want to contact me faster, contact me at my university email: dgcantu@miners.utep.edu
