-The final paper is to be five to seven pages in length. Please incorporate analysis and argument. The paper must strictly follow the MLA format. Besides the primary text, incorporate four or more outside sources. Review those chapters in the Literature text that discuss writing about a poem, play, or short story in order to accurately cite the genre of your choice. The paper is due on the day of the final of the term, June 8 at 3 pm. No late papers will be accepted.
The works cited are on a separate page, and the sources are listed alphabetically, the second and third line of a source is indented; this is called a hanging indent. (Paragraph, indentation, special) Writing Program.
-The title Works Cited is centered and it is not bold, underlined, or different font size.
Review your texts concerning in-text citations. Every source listed on the Works Cited must have an in-text citation.
There must be a four-part introduction:
P1- introduce the author, story, and theme (or message) of the primary text.
P2- provide the question at issue… ? The one you choose with a question mark.
P3- introduce and explain the opposing view
P4- refute the opposing view with a closed thesis statement- the claim with the reasons.
There must be a two-part conclusion: restate the question at issue and in the final paragraph review the three to four key points developed within the body of the research paper.
