Each student will select an artifact(s) of communication that they deem suitable for criticism using either Metaphoric Criticism, Genre Analysis, or the Rhetorical Situation to write a research paper that analyses the rhetoric of your artifact.
Be sure to conduct research into the context that frames to your chosen artifact. You will also find additional research on choice of method useful as well. While there is no upper limit for the amount of research you use, you should include a minimum of five (5) sources in your paper: at least one (1) of the sources must be primary; and at least two (2) of the sources must be scholarly.

The total length of each essay should be 1200-1400 words (not including a Works Cited page) in MLA style.
