Then develop a syllabus for a 12-week introductory psychology course. Select whether your course will be taught online or in-person and whether your course is geared toward psychology majors or non-psychology majors.

You know by now what I am going to say: find examples through Google!! I do this still today. I also find textbook options for the class, and read the ‘contents’ section of each one (it is cool that you can do that through Amazon with the ‘look inside’ option so you don’t have to buy the books before deciding whether to use them or not). You will see they differ, and as the instructor, you get to choose which formats you like best. Of course you have the Griggs book, but check others out as well. You also get to pick and choose what you like from many syllabus options, so don’t imitate or (goodness no!) copy one, take the best from each syllabus you find and like (both syllabus and textbook content) to build the best syllabus you can, in your own words, which will reflect your personality as an instructor.
